Identify the reference precisely
Keep a photo or a clear description with the season, Home/Away/Third design and any relevant details. Two dark away shirts from different seasons are separate references. If the customer’s description is ambiguous, resolve it before counting the request.
Use a reference you can explain in a supply conversation. SoloJersey does not require a product ID or a public club catalogue.
Keep versions and sizes separate
Fan, Player and kids requests can differ in fit or unit contents. Treat a version label as something to confirm for the offered product, not a reason to assume all similar shirts are interchangeable.
Check the requested size for that version. A shirt already in stock is useful only if it matches the request or the buyer explicitly accepts an alternative.
Choose on the gap, not on display completeness
Compare demand, sellable stock and incoming pieces for each combination. Only the outstanding requirement enters the immediate restock review. A successful past sale does not justify purchasing all colours or sizes now.
If you want to try a new reference as a separate business decision, mark it as an exploration rather than calling it confirmed restock demand.
Check the inputs.
- Exact design or photo
- Version and unit contents
- Requested size
- Current outstanding pieces
