Restock Notes / Illustrative planning example

Note 01 — One size is short; another is covered

What does this example show?

Review the short M combination without automatically purchasing L. A team-level impression would miss the different coverage for each size.

Illustrative planning example. Not a customer case study, real order, live stock count or verified sales result.

Illustrative examplePlanning inputs—not live stock or a customer order.

The situation

Two rows refer to the same home design and version. M has three outstanding requests and no usable or incoming pieces. L has one request and four usable pieces. These are invented planning inputs used only to explain the calculation.

The review

M shows a gap of 3; L shows no immediate shortage and review quantity 0. This is not a size-ratio recommendation. The seller would still confirm actual reference, measurements, supply and shipping before agreeing to a reorder.

What would change the decision?

New confirmed L demand, an incorrect stock count or unavailable pieces would require a new calculation. The covered L row is left alone on the current inputs—not excluded from all future purchases.
